Our latest challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday is called "Be Thankful/ Feature a Sentiment".
Only thinking Thanksgiving-cards, as we do NOT have any tradition for in Norway, I found it a bit difficult to find the inspiration. Then I started thinking more different, more "what do I have to be thankful for", and the idea came right away!
Of course!
A man who's always there when we need him!
My father. A man of so much knowledge, humour and patience. No matter what we ask of help, he tries to give it. And for his grandchildren (my children), he is the one who never says no to any card- or boardgame, he takes them on boattrips. He's even learnt my son both how to drive a boat and where to drive it safe.
And - on Sunday we celebrate Fathers Day in Norway!
I made an envelope for the card, using the same sketch, from Sketch Saturday.
The backgroundpaper, with the Pappaprint (Pappa = Father) is from Papirdesign. The other papers I choose because I think they suits him :)
The sentiment and the greetings are goldembossed. I also used a MS edgepunch, and cut out an anchor from a designpaper.
Now I hope you'll come and join our challenge at Fussy and Fancy, and see what the rest of the DT have made too :)

This is a very lovely card, your Dad will love it. The papers and gold embossing are fab and I love how you've made the anchor embellies from designer paper. Thanks for joining us at Sketch Saturday.
