Blonder eller Bånd @ My Besties Norge

Goom Morning on this Beautiful Sunday.
It’s time for a new challenge over at
My Besties Norge
This weeks theme is
Blonder eller Bånd
(Laces or Ribbons)
Thanks a lot to all of you who joined us last week for the Easter/ Spring-Challlenge, and a huge congratulation to the winner.
I hold on the theme from last week a little bit, just expanding it with lace and ribbons - and blings.
I knew I one day would find use of the yellow rhinestones I bought years ago!
Aren’t they just perfect on this card???
The DP, with the lovely daffodils are from Papirdesign, and lucky me (!) had daffodils in the yellowflowerdrawer.
The image is Sherri Baldys My Besties Img 249
You can find lots of My Besties images at
Scrapbook Stamp Society
Sherri’s Etsy Store
My Besties Store

Clean and Simple inside, with plenty of space to write:

On the back of the card I used a little easterbunnypaperdoll, found somewhere on the net. It’s just attached with little gluedots in the corners, so it can easily be loosened for cutting out on a rainy day :)

I hope you’ve liked my card, and found a little inspiration to join in on our
Lace or Ribbon Challenge
Just visit

Boardgame for Easter

The last years I've been making different boardgames for easter.
Here's this years game, very inspired by a game from the latest issue of Inzpira Magazine.
I chose a bright yellow cardstock to make the box to keep the board and all pieces in.
Then I searched to my easterpapers to find some bright, sparkly papers.

I printed out the rules and glued them inside the lid.

For the board I used an almost springgreenlike cardstock.
I measured, scored, cut and folded it in 4.
I cut 4 big eggs that I put in the corners, they make each players "house".
Then I cut several smaller eggs that makes the fields where the chickens "go". The glittery eggs have special meanings.
I made a little pink box that contains the eggs you win through the game.
This box is placed in the middle of the board.

Here's one of the little chickensto play with. It's made in shrinkfilm.
I coloured three of them, and Hedda coloured her own.
They're all in different colours.
I glued them on some pieces from an old game (I never throw away pieces like this when a boardgame is ruined or has lost too many pieces. They might come handy one day ;))
Now we're just waiting for easter to come, so that we can play the game - it can "not be opened 'till easter"...

There are lots of challengeblogs having easterthemed challenges right now, so I'll try my luck sending the game to these:
Creative Inspiration #206 - Spring Colours
Creatalicious Challenges #46 - Lovely Easter
Simply Create Too #33 - Easter
NSHK #70 - Fargeutfordring "GUL" (Colourchallenge "Yellow")

Easterdecoration in Yellow

Here's a little easterdecoration I've been working on last weekend.
Snowy weather and wind made both kids stay indoors, and we really had some cosy times together.
I'll post what they made later.
(Might even get a third post here today!)

I've had the sizzixdie for a long time, but haven't remembered to use it 'till now.
I cut 4 similar diecuts in yellow cardstock with it, and glued them together (with a thread between).
I coloured two Magnolia-images in most yellocolours (Distress Reinks), used a Spellbinder-die to cut out the images. Then decorated a little bit (a little cheesecloth, LiquidPearls, some yellow flowers and a few leaves) before I attached them together (same thread between here too).
Then, beneath the sizziz-diecuts I put on a few eggs, some feathers and an organzaribbon.
So now it's finished and ready to be hung up, swirling around, for easter. ;)

I'll send my yellow easterdecoration to these challenges:
Totally Tilda #67 - Easter, Use at least ONE EGG & a Tilda Image
Simply Magnolia - Easter and Eggs
Marvelous Magnolia - Tilda in her Sunday best
Tildas Town #44 - Anything Goes
MDUC - Easter

Easteregg

For easter I made this, rather small, easter-egg.
The egg is painted, then I put on a rosedecorated tissue and coated it with several layers of decoupageglue. After it had dried I decorated it with (a lots of) pearls, feathers, roses, leaves, pearlstrings and beads. The vintagepinkcloloured roses are painted with several layers of GlimmerGlam Glitterpaint, in the colour "chandelier" - a colour that gives almost the glittereffect only.

Before I put this egg away, among the other easterdecorations, I'll send it to the challenges at:

Sukkersøtt #121 - Egg
and
Vintage Udfordring - Lave et påskeprojekt

...and hope that they'll like my easteregg...
:)

Sanders Eastercard

I have to show you the card that Sander, my son (11) made the other day - isn't it cute - I certainly think he's done a great job with this one.

It's not often he takes the time to sit down making something (he is more of an outdoor-/ footballboy :) ) But when I asked him if he wanted to join me making an eastercard he said "yes" right away - if I'd make him a chickenimage. I did, but I also encouraged him to make one himself too. I showed him how to cut cardstock and papers, and how to use the puncher. Then he started the cardmaking, and this is how it turned out - I'm so proud of him :D !
I asked him if I could put his card in my blog, and he agreed with that, but I also had to put it in a challenge ( he likes competitions :) )
I found these challenges for his eastercard:

Stampin' for the weekend - Easter
ABC DT Challenge - Easter Card
Creative Inspirations - Easter
Die Cut Dreams Challenge Blog - It's easter time

If I have understood him right, I think this card is for Grandma and Grandpa :)

Easter Egg

I have also made an easteregg - and it was fun! :)
I painted the egg white, then covered it with a cute, pink napkin from Kremmerhuset.
After drying I decorated the egg with laces, flowers (from Prima), pearlstrings and glitter (of course).
Underneath the egg I glued four beads to make it stand better.
In spite of the lousy pictures , I'll send the egg to the challenges at:

Vintage Udfordring - Lave et påskeprojekt
Scrapperiket - Emballasje
Our Creative Corner - A 3-D Easter Project
C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Easter
Creative Inspirations - Easter!

I hope you like my easter egg :)
Now its time for me to go back to make the picture puzzle (rebus) for the childrens egghunt :)

Easter candybags

In the weekend I made these two candybags for the easter.
I tried to make them as lika as possible without being the same, as I wanted them to be "a pair".
A closer picture of "the right hand bag" :)
This is, of course then the bag that is supposed to stand an the left hand side - can't you tell by the flowers...

I had so much fun making them, and can hardly wait to fill them with candies :D

With these two I'll enter the challenges at:
Anonyme Scrappere - Påske
Saturday Challenge - Our feathered friends
Trykkpressa April - Fugler

Material list:

Size: Ca 3,5 X 5 inches
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, DistressInk Walnut Stain
Stamps: Magnolia text "God Påske"
Paper: Papirdesign (PD 11547) "Påskekyllinger", (PD 10605) "Påske"
and Pink Paislee "Honeybee"
Other: Nellie's Multiframe's (MFD 007), flowers, pearlstring, ribbons
Other things: All edges are distressed and inked

Easter Chocolate Egg Box

I have decorated an eastereggbox.
(The chocolateggs are still unopened - fantastic!)
On a short trip to Bodø las week I was at Panduro, and found this beautiful stampimage, begging me to take it home... Isn't she a cutie (or is it a "he"...)
(The week before I was there to, I then went to the Papirdesignshop where I found a lot of goodies, both dies, stamps, flowers, papers - you name it :)

I thought it would be smart to use yellow Bazzill Bling as background taking the photo (it's easter, right!) - I now see it wasn't that smart at all, the colours on the stampimage kind of disappeared...

I've coloured the stampimage with ProMarkers.
All of the flowers were white, the purple are sprayed with Glimmermist "Fully Purple", the yellow are painted with my new glitterwatercolours, then sprayed with Glimmermist "Snowqueen". After drying (boring! Could easily run out of chocolateggs to put inside, while waiting...) I put them together with brads.
I've also used Spellbinders Labels Fifteen (new, bought at Papirdesign :D), and Nellie's MultiFrame's MFD006 (new, that too). The edges on the diecut panels are brushed with DistressInk WalnutStain.

I'll put my easter-chocolategg-box to these challenges:
Anonyme Scrappere - Påske
I Love ProMarkers - Easter
Stampin' for the weekend - Easter
Scrappy Frogs Challenge - Hoppy Easter
Phindy's Place Challenge - Eater Time
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything goes

Happy Easter

Just Magnolias challenge this week sounds "Anything Goes" with the option of adding buttons. The option gave me a bit of a headache, 'cause buttons are one of those things I rarely use. I have a big box of buttons, and often look at them and try to use them, but I never seem to find a place for them in my cards and projects...
But when I found Kort o Manias sketch, I also found the perfect use for the buttons :)
I wanted to make an easter/ springcard, and had already found the image and the colours and the papers I wanted to use, so with this sketch everything fell in place.
As you can see I've used my new butterfly punch from Martha Stewart - I simply love her punches and have already planned my next buy :) The butterflies and some of the flowers are painted with"Glimmerglam Glitterpaint", and are so delightfully sparkly - I really like it when it shimmers - LOL
For the sentiment on the outside I chose to write "God Påske" (happy easter) by hand, as I couldn't find any stamps, rubons or letters that fitted the way I wanted them to...

I decided to make the inside with a simple twist of the sketch, and couldn't resist to put a butterfly here as well.

I'll put my card into the challenges at:
Just Magnolia: Anything Goes, with the option of adding buttons
Kort o Mania: Sketch
ABC DT Challenge: Easter Card
Anonyme Scrappere: Påske (easter)
Saturday Challenge: Butterflies
Paper Romance: Gems
Charisma Cardz Challenges: Bling & Sparkles

Materials I used:

Cardstock: Bazzill
DP: Papirdesign "Eføy" and "Nostalgi", 3ndypapir "Sweet"
Stamp: Magnolia
Colours: ProMarkers
Ink: Adirondack Earthtones Espresso, DistressInk WalnutStain
Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circle Large
Martha Stewart Butterfly punch
Flowers
Buttons
Beads
Tattered Angels Glimmerglam Glitterpaint "chandelier" and "espresso bean"
Glimmermist "snowqueen"

Eggcups

A while ago I saw something like this i a blog, and thought I'd try to make it.
When I finally found time and inspiration to do it, I couldn't find back to the blog - isn't it typical!
So - I had to figure out a way to make my own eggcups, far from as beautiful as the one I saw, but I'm quite pleased with them after all :)

Thats just so cute has a "Påskeextra" where the colours they want to see are purple, pink, green and yellow, and don't make anything square. I hope my eggcups will fit into that challenge.

Here's a close-up of the yellow eggcup, I've tried to keep most of Tilda and Edwins clothes in the cupcolours.
Inside the cups I've put some goldcoloured "angelhair", to protect the egg.
