Embossing @ I ❤️ ProMarkers

Hi again.
I’m back to invite you to the new challenge over at
I ❤️ ProMarkers
This weeks challenge theme is
Embossing
I’ve used heatembossing on my card,
but you are free to use dryembossing as well, if you prefer that
-or maybe both…

Sponsors for this challenge are
Milk Coffee Stamps
and
Marianne Design

Visit
I ❤️ ProMarkers
to see what prizes they’re offering this week,
and to see the projects the other DT-girls have made
- L O V E L Y artwork, I promise you

I chose heatembossing, because I wanted to use UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel) on the image. I put on 3 layers of the stuff, and got a thick, glossy, kind of glasslooking surface on the image.
The image is Img303,  one of Sherri Baldys My Besties.
The image is coloured with ProMarkers before I put on the UTEE.
The greetings on the little labels (Magnolia DooHickeys) are embossed with Goldcoloured embossingpowder. Greetingtexts are from Storyteller.
DPs are from MajaDesign. Flowers are Papirdesign - just put on some Glitterstickles - I just love the fantastic sparkling of the Glitterstickles!
And, as you can see; all paperedges are inked with DistressInk WalnutStain.

ProMarkers used to colour the image:
Skin: Ivory, Dusky Pink, Blush, Sunkissed Pink, Tan
Hair: Buttercup, Tulip Yellow, Gold
Clothes: Pastel Blue, Blue Pearl, Denim Blue, Arctic Blue, Sky Blue
Shadow/ Background: Glacier Blue (FlexMarker)
Flowers/ Leaves: Blossom, Pink Carnation, Rose Pink/ Pear Green, Olive Green
Blender
For the white dotted highlights in her hair and on the dots on her clothes I used a white GellyRoll marker.

I’ll join the following challenges:
Sketchy Colors #216 - Sketch
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Fan-Tastic Tuesday #41 - Anything Goes
Creative Knockouts #42 - Embossing
Crafty Girls #20 - Anything Goes

Orange & Green at OLLCB

Good morning all crafters.
First of all a huge congrats to the winner and Top 3 of our last challenge It's a Man Thing! I loved visiting all, and boy (!) did I get inspiration to make my own male cards. I've saved lots of ideas in my "Ideafolder".
Today we have a new challenge for you over at Ooh La La Challenge Blog.
The theme for the next fortnight is Orange and Green.
Easy, or what? I have to admit I did struggle a bit with this one. In my mind Orange & Green were bright, bold colours. So out of my comfortzone as colours can be - DON't misunderstand me; seeing cards in those colours that others have made I'm almost stunned how cool and bold it looks. I just can't manage it myself. Then I sat down, looking through my Ooh La La CDs, and realized that there are different shades of Orange & Green! Strange how an idea can get stuck in ones head....
Well - I found this beautiful image and backingpapers on the Yesterday's Memories CD.
All in lovely, soft orangetones. All I had to find was green cardstock and embellishments in shades that suited the papers.
All that stuff a scrapper can save over the years! Of course I found lots and lots of green stuff!
I cut the image with a Spellbindersdies. Over the image I melted several layers of UTEE, to give it a sort of glasscover. Then I put it into the fridge for a few minutes. Taking it out of the fridge the "glass" easily breaks into a cracked-glass-effect.

Folding the 6"x12" cardstock into a 4"x6"-size, gives it a insidepocket perfect for a giftcard:
I hope many, many of you will take part in the Orange & Green challenge.
Hop over to Ooh La La Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the DT-girls have made out of the theme
- BEAUTIFUL creations!

Get inspired, and join us

March Christmascards and -projects

Tonday I have a lot of pictures to show. I hope you'll take the time in here to see them all.

Here's this months christmas projects - 5 of them, I'm still working on another one :)

Hjertebodens Julebloggs challenge in March is to use UTEE. We can also use Glossy-accents or crackle-accents to make a glass-like surface on the image.
So - that's what I've experimented with this month - and 4 of these projects are products of that :)
Sorting pictures for the blogpost I realized that all projects were made with Magnoliaimages - yes, they are a favourite, but I DO use other images as well...

Now, to the cards: First a sidestep-card, mainly in redcolours. Here I've used Glossy-Accents on the image only. Different papers from my christmaspaperscrapbox, with distressed edges.
Inside the card I used Spellbinderdies (Labels Ten) for the panels, fastened to make room for a tag underneath.

My second card is in bluetones, with a black-and-white image on. Here I used many layers of Glossy Accents on the whole of the frontcard. Then I put it into the freezer before I gently broke the "glass".
This card is made using 4 different sizes of Spellbinders Labels Ten, making three "cards", tied together with a ribbon.
Here you can see the three "sides" of the card:
And here's the three backsides, with greeting and snowflakes:

My third card is made in the same way as the second, three "cards" made with Spellbinders dies (Labels Fifteen). Here two images are cut out and put together, before I put on UTEE.
I figured I had to use UTEE on both sides of the image since Tildas feets are hanging out of the card - rather tricky to get both sides looking good...
The next two pictures show the insides with the greeting and writingspace:

My last project using UTEE is a tag, Here I covered a sentiment (Magnolia) with UTEE.
a closer view of the tag:
and the backside, with a simple "to - From" stamped on:

My fifth christmasproject in March doesn't have any UTEE or Glossy Accents on, but I'll put it in this post anyway.
It's a plane 6X6 card in brown and red, with a ProMarker-coloured Tilda on. I'm rather pleased with how colouring her clothes turned out :)

...need to show it closer ;)

Inside I used a Martha Stewart PATP-set to make the panels.

I hope you've liked my March-christmasprojects.
In a few days Hjertebodens Juleblogg will have a new challenge out, and I'm really ecxited to see what they want us to do in April.
I've loved the March-challenge - 'though I have small UTEE-pearls all over my workspace - LOL
