Christmas in July @ Inky Chicks

Good Morning
I'm back with another christmascard.
This one for the new challenge over at

The theme for this fortnightly challenge is
Christmas in July
and the sponsor for this challenge is
I made a pocketcard for this challenge.
On this one I used two Magnoliaimages, coloured with DistressInk - refills and markers.
To decorate the pocket I used MagnoliaDooHickeys, Martha Stewart Ribbon, Seambindingribbon, a snowflakecharm, two little bells and some Glitterstickles on the trees (Magnolia DooHickeys).
DPs are from Inkido. All paperedges are inked with DistressInk WalnutStain.
I sprinkled on a little Frantage Chunky White EmbossingEnamel around the image.
The reindeerimage (Magnolia, that too) is cut out and attached with 3D foam pads.
Textstamp (on the back of the pocket) is from Kort & Godt.
The snowflakestamps used on the insidecard are from an old stampset from TPC Studio.
The insidecard has lots of room for writing, so this is a christmascard for the long christmaswishes...

Here come all sides of the pocketcard:

A Little Candybox

Here´s a little candybox I made after the tutorial in the latest Ett Trykk (Issue #5).
You´ll find a videotutorial here.
Ett Trykks octoberchallenge is also to make such a box.
I found the step-by-step-in-picture-tutorial in the magazine very easy to follow, so here´s my version of the box.
I decorated it in a christmasstyle, with red and white, gold and spices - I think it turned out quite cute :)

Here´s the back of it:

Here the box is opened - ready to fill with candies...

Thanks for stopping by
I´ll be back tomorrow

Christmastag

I'm so behind on the christmascards!
Last year I made at least 3 christmascards every month, as I joined Hjertebodens Juleblogg. Now, I have like a total of 2 - in march!
So, between chickens, eggs and bunnies I made a christmastag yesterday.
I found a cute, little sketch at Christmas Challenges (with sketches), pulled out my christmaspapers and stamps - and this is how it turned out.
(So fun, I even started on another one)
The sketchchallenge has the twist of using diecuts or punches. Well, I would have used the same dies (all Magnolia DooHickeys) for the tag anyway ;)

I hope that I, with this one, will get back on track with my christmascards and -projects.

I'll send the tag to these challenges:

Anonyme Timeglass 4

Good morning to you all.
Here's what I made for the fourth challenge at Anonyme Scrapperes challenge Anonyme Timeglass.
The theme for all four challenges was to make something NOT square or rectangular, and for the fourth challenge we had to make a "matching set of three".
I'm so happy I finished all 4 challenges. I have to admit that when I read the last challenge I thought "It's impossible. I can't make a matching set of three in so short time".
But seeing all the lovely sets the DT had made, I had all the inspiration I needed, and finished this set rather quickly.
Again I've used last years christmascollection from Pion (soon, very soon, I can buy this years collection ;)), and made a set with matching winetag, candle and a tincan. I also put on a "tag" to the basket where the "set of three" is to be put. (I see now that I need to have a sort of cloth in the bottom of the basket...)
(The bottle used in the picture isn't the bottle that actually should go with the set, I just had to find one for photopurpose)

This project should also fit in to the challenges at:
Pile It On #141 - Vintage or Shabby Chic
Just Keep On Creating - Christmas Is Around The Corner

Here's a picture of the set:
Here's the can, to be filled with christmascandies:
here's the candle (vanillascented):
and the winetag:

Materials used:
DPs from Pion
DistressInk (WalnutStain)
Lace
Twine
Charms
textstamp from Papirdesign (text "To...From" on one of the tags)
Spellbinders Labels Ten

Bottletags for Christmas in August

Tonight I'll show you the winetags I made for the Augustchallenge at Hjertebodens Juleblogg.
Having first started making bottletags, I found it really fun, so I ended up with 4 different tags.
I even found the inspiration to make som gifttags for the christmaspresents as well - I'll try to remember to show them later ;)
On the first tag (over) I used an image from Magnolia. I coloured the cute little teddie with green(!) ProMarkers. Green, and particularly a bold, bright dark green colour is not a colour I use often! But I felt it was right with the green/ red coloured papers from Magnolia.
I found the goldcoloured doily in a fleamarket a long time ago, but have never found any use for it before. Of course I had to splat a little gold on the flowers and leaves, and put on a few goldcoloured halfbeads.

On the second tag I used a stampimage from Slöjddetaljer. I bought it in Sweden this summer.I stamped the image in black and used clear embossingpowder over it. The edges are inked lightly with DistressInk WeatheredWood.
The doily is sparyed with Glimmermist and all the snowflakes have got a layer of glitterstickles. I also put on a Magnolia DooHickeyTag, laces and a little bit of cheesecloth.

The third tag has a Magnoliaimage again. It's coloured with ProMarkers, and the "furry" parts of Tildas clothes have got a layer of crushed velvet - oh, and see the lovely tree-die I bought not long ago :D It's from Magnolia, and I looove it!
I had to put on a little decoration on the back of the tag (next picture), to give it a little weight...

Wasn't it Papirdesign that last year came with the papers with these little norwegian "nisser"? I still have a few of the motives, but not any uncutted papers. I really hope to find more of them, 'cause I think they're sooo lovely. They kind of remind me of christmascards from my childhood.
I tried not to make to much "noise" on this tag, but still had to put on some glitter and bling, oh, and a little snowflakecharm :)

Here's a picture of all 4:

The different challenges I'll enter my tags into:
Hjertebodens Juleblogg - Vintag/ Flasketag (Winetag) (alle 4/ all 4)
Divas By Design #49 - Anything Goes (Tag 4)
The Paper Shelter #78 - Anything Goes (Tag 2)
A Gem of a Challenge - Animals or Teddies (Tag 1)
Sparkles Christmas Challenge #19 - Punch It (Tag 3)

March Christmascards and -projects

Tonday I have a lot of pictures to show. I hope you'll take the time in here to see them all.

Here's this months christmas projects - 5 of them, I'm still working on another one :)

Hjertebodens Julebloggs challenge in March is to use UTEE. We can also use Glossy-accents or crackle-accents to make a glass-like surface on the image.
So - that's what I've experimented with this month - and 4 of these projects are products of that :)
Sorting pictures for the blogpost I realized that all projects were made with Magnoliaimages - yes, they are a favourite, but I DO use other images as well...

Now, to the cards: First a sidestep-card, mainly in redcolours. Here I've used Glossy-Accents on the image only. Different papers from my christmaspaperscrapbox, with distressed edges.
Inside the card I used Spellbinderdies (Labels Ten) for the panels, fastened to make room for a tag underneath.

My second card is in bluetones, with a black-and-white image on. Here I used many layers of Glossy Accents on the whole of the frontcard. Then I put it into the freezer before I gently broke the "glass".
This card is made using 4 different sizes of Spellbinders Labels Ten, making three "cards", tied together with a ribbon.
Here you can see the three "sides" of the card:
And here's the three backsides, with greeting and snowflakes:

My third card is made in the same way as the second, three "cards" made with Spellbinders dies (Labels Fifteen). Here two images are cut out and put together, before I put on UTEE.
I figured I had to use UTEE on both sides of the image since Tildas feets are hanging out of the card - rather tricky to get both sides looking good...
The next two pictures show the insides with the greeting and writingspace:

My last project using UTEE is a tag, Here I covered a sentiment (Magnolia) with UTEE.
a closer view of the tag:
and the backside, with a simple "to - From" stamped on:

My fifth christmasproject in March doesn't have any UTEE or Glossy Accents on, but I'll put it in this post anyway.
It's a plane 6X6 card in brown and red, with a ProMarker-coloured Tilda on. I'm rather pleased with how colouring her clothes turned out :)

...need to show it closer ;)

Inside I used a Martha Stewart PATP-set to make the panels.

I hope you've liked my March-christmasprojects.
In a few days Hjertebodens Juleblogg will have a new challenge out, and I'm really ecxited to see what they want us to do in April.
I've loved the March-challenge - 'though I have small UTEE-pearls all over my workspace - LOL

Brownish Monochromatic Christmascard

Yesterday Simon Says Stamp Challenge came with a new sketch, and once I saw it I knew I would use it, and I knew how I would use it. It isn't often everything falls in place that easily, but this time it did! All I had to do was measure, cut, colour, punch, diecut and glue down in place - and here it is!
I made the card as a "three-page-card", each page a little bit shorter than the next, and decorated each page. I haven't seen this kind of card made anywhere, but I thought the sketch shouted out to be made this way...
The left pages has a little text stamped on, on the right side pages I used a Nellies Multi Frames-die to make the plates where one can write oneself.

The first "insidepage":
The last "insidepage":
A close-up of the lovely image from Hänglar & Stänglar. I coloured it with ProMarkers, and used Crystal Stickles on the cloud and the wings.
This textstamp is from NorthStarStamps. It's the norwegian translation of "The Night Before Christmas":

I'll put my brownish christmas card into these challenges:
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - SKETCH TIME!
Card and Scrap - Juleinspirasjon (Christmasinspiration)
Little Darlings - Christmas
Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Things with Wings
Stampin' for the weekend - Christmas

White Christmas

I have made a christmascard all in white, and when I tried to take photos of it, I remembered why I rarely make cards all white... I had to cry for help (from a better photographer with a better camera) to get a picture I could use in the blog...
(The Blingstones and the pearl on the pin ARE white, though they look golden in the picture...)

I made the card after the sketch from Sketchy Colors - a truly lovely sketch to work with.
With all the "White challenges" going on in blogland (and NO snow in sight here :( )I fell for it, and started on my white card. I had a really good time and great fun making it - punching, sewing, glitterpainting, embossing, colouring with ProMarkers - all things I love :)
I even made an envelope - using my brand new Martha Stewart Score-Board, I already LOVE it!
On the envelope I stamped the same image as I used on the card, but here I embossed it with clear embossing powder, and didn't use any colours on it.

Here's a close-up, showing Tilda on the card and the envelope:

I'll play along in these challenges with my White Christmascard:
Sketchy Colors - Sketch
Just Magnolia - I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas
Totally Tilda - White on White (ONLY white except Tildas flesh and hair, NO shading)
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Mainly Monochromatic
Alphabet Challenge - W for White Christmas
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Girlie ChristmasCard

For Winter Wonderlands challenge "Girly Christmas" I chose to use this image of Tilda under the Mistletoe - I think she is so adorable. I coloured her with ProMarkers.
The litlle mistletoes are a stamp from Magnolia too. The textstamps are from Storyteller.

To put the card together I used the sketch from Christmas Challenges (with sketches).

The papers are designed by Vibeke Spigseth, not this years, but I think they're lovely though...
Inside the card I decorated it with the same papers - these papers are actually so heavy that they are more like cardstock.

Chocolate box

I was so inspired by the little boxes Marianne has made. They are so beautiful, last weekend I made two lightboxes. While making them I started thinking of other things I could make such boxes for :)
Then, a couple of days ago, I was amazed to see the tutorial she has made for StampARTic. There she had made boxes for tea and coffee as well.
Of course I then had my project for TOMICs challenge all ready!
I had to make a box for some of the Premium chocolates I bought 2 (!) months ago!
TOMICs challenge this week is Chocolate (Brown and Cream)
Well, enough talking - here it is:

It's not big, just room for 7 Premium Chocolates. A nice little gift to bring when visiting a friend (and besides, dark chocolate is said to be healthy!)
I used brown Bazzill cardstock and Pions wonderful new christmaspapers. The ribbon, bow and flowers are creamcoloured. The Magnoloaimage (popping out of the chocolatebox) is coloured with ProMarkers. I first coloured it in browncolours, but found it a little bit dull, so I added some red, then coloured in brownshades again until I had a nuance I felt could "go with" the chocolates :)

My chocolatebox is for these challenges:

TOMIC - Chocolate (Brown and Cream)
Papercraft Star - Anything Goes

Blue Christmas

There are so many beautiful blue christmaspapers around.
The one I've used here are from Magnolia (at least one of them is a christmaspaper, but I think the other two worked so well together with it, that I decided to use them 'tough they weren't christmaspapers...)
Again I've used the little winterboy from Hänglar & Stänglar, and again I've coloured him blue (with ProMarkers, of course).
I sprayed the paperdoily with Glimmermist (Dazzling Diamonds), and while I waited for the mist to dry I handsew(!) around the panels.
The lace is so sheer I had to use a ribbon upon it to make sure it shows... :D
Inside the card I used the Magnolia christmaspaper and blue bazzillcardstock.
Around the cardstock I punched with my brand new Martha Stewart edgepuncher
(bought yesterday :D)
I used a few eyelets and a brad shaped as snowflakes both on the out- and inside, and on the inside I squeezed out a few drops of Liquid Appliqué "randomly" around (to look like snowflakes).
Now I quite can't decide wether to put such "snowflakes" on the front as well, or not...
I won't do it right now, there's still some time before christmas to make up my mind ...

Hopefully my blue christmascard will be accepted into these challenges - I think it fits...:

Just Magnolia - Sketch
Scrapperiket - Punch/ Dies
Scrappekammeret - Monokromatisk
Christmas Crafting! - Christmas Sparkle
Stamp Something - Anything Goes (my final card for their final challenge :(
