Pearls and Swirls @ I ❤️ ProMarkers

I’m sorry I’m a bit late with todays post - I stayed up too late last night, doing «christmassy things», and had completely forgot to push «plan» on this blogpost, so when I slept too long today, my post didn’t go live…
But here it is, and I hope you like it.

Today we have a new challenge for you over at
I ❤️ ProMarkers

This week with the theme
Pearls and Swirls

Our sponsor this week is
Visible Image

For my DT-entry this week I’ve made a Tag.
The tag is tied onto a bag of «Chocolate-Snowballs», homemade little, white chocolateballs, that my family think is delicious. And I think this image (from Stitchy Bear) is just perfect for thos purpose.
I’ve used old DPs from Ladybug and Friends. T decorate I used several dies, a little bit of silvercoloured lace, some pearlswirls and -strings, and some halfpearls and blingstones of course.
Paperedges are distressed and inked.
Then I used a bit of string to tie the tag onto the bag.
The image is, of course coloured with ProMarkers, the snowman and his snowballs have got some Glitterstickles on as well.

I’ll join these challenges:

Christmas Ornament

This is also one Marianne-inspired project!
That girl makes the most wonderful things you can imagine!
The day before I saw her christmas ornament I used the last piece of a taperoller, (those1 1/2" wide rolls) - well it wasn't the very last bit, 'cause that part wouldn't come off the roll. I was just about to throw it in the bin, when I came to think that maybe it can be used for something (isn't that what we scrappers think of almost everything that "normal" people call garbage - LOL). Anyway, I put it in the box where I put all those things that "might come handy one day".
And then, the very next day I saw a project in Mariannes blog, where I could use that "almost empty" taperoller :D
The roller is placed between the die-cuts (I've used both Spellbinder- and Mariannedies).
The stamped image is from Ladybug and Friends - oh, I think "Rudolph and Santa" are sooo cute in this Image. (It IS Rudolph - Hedda has told me so!). I stamped the image on Kraftcardstock, and coloured with pencils. I distressed all edges with DistressInk OldPaper, put on a few embelli'es - and - finished :D
Easy-peasy backside; same dies, same distressing, a greeting (from Crafty Secrets) and a few halfbeads.

I'll put my christmasornament into the challenges at:
Bah! Humbug! - Rudolph/ Reindeer
Magical Monday Challenge - Christmas in September!

Now my next taperoller is almost empty, and I have a new idea for that one...

Christmas Gifttags/ -ornaments

For our latest challenge at Fussy and Fancy one of the ladies (Norma, with the lovely blog "from my craftroom") had made some wonderful christmasornaments. I got really inspired by those, and had to make my own. I made it into gifttags, but sure they can be used as christmasornaments after the gift is opened :)
I've used Magnoliaimages, coloured with ProMarkers. The papers used are mainly scraps and leftovers (perfect use for scraps too big to throw away, and too small to make cards out of...)
The circles are made with Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles Large and Standard Circles Large. The largest circle is a paperstrip (I used a borderpunch on one of the longsides) that is accordionfolded, then glued together.
So far I've made three, but I hope I can find time to make more of these, as they were both fun and easy to make - and quite decorative too, I think...
Here comes pictures of them, one by one:

...and this is the backside of one of them (all backs are quite the same; same die and stamping used):

As every month I (try) to send three christmascards to Hjertebodens Juleblogg (and last month I was the lucky winner - I still walk around smiling :)) This month I'll send my three Gifttags/ ornaments for them.

I'll also enter the challenges at:
Jingle belles - Shape-Up for the Holidays
OLLCB - Oh Christmas
Scrap'a'long - Anything Goes
Craft Us Crazy - Anything goes in August

Christmascards in July

I have made my three christmascards for Hjertebodens Juleblogg this month - it was hard to get started on christmascards in the middle of the summer, but when I first got into it I almost couldn't stop. I'm still working on christmascards... (and summercards :D)
These three cards are all made after the same sketch, but I think they look quite different though...
Here's the inside of the card.

The second is an Easelcard, also with a Magnoliaimage, coloured with ProMarkers...
...inside the card. A simplifyed version of the sketch...

This, last one, is also an Easelcard, but I couldn't get the photo of the inside into the blog....

Violet Christmascard

This christmascard is made after the latest sketch at Sketch N Stash challenge.
The image is an old Magnoliastamp, I think she is really cute, but I always seem to pick other before her...
Magnolia Stamp Lovers challenge is Dry Embossing Background, as you can see I've embossed the panels behind Tilda (using a cuttlebug embossingfolder), the panels are sewn around the edges.
The snowflakes are made with a (broken) Martha Stewart punch and the smaller are made with a tiny punch I received with a magazine - I'm surprised everytime I use it how well it works... :)
I've painted the snowflakes with Glimmerglam Glitterpaint (Tattered Angels), and put some beads on the large ones (and some beads "randomly" around).
"Snowflakes" is also the challenge at Christmas Card Challenge, so I'll enter there too.
Why did I choose to make a violet christmascard (besides the fact that it is a lovely colour) - the challenge at The ABC Challenge "V is for Violet" :D

2nd and 3rd christmascard in May

One more month, then we're halfway in Hjerteboden's Julebloggs christmascardchallenge, and I'm still hanging in :D
I have found it more difficult to find time making christmascards, than finding inspiration - ideas for many, many more cards, but so little time...
This two are made in different sizes (4,5" X 8 " and 6" X 6").
I'll let the pictures speak for themselves, as I'll try to put more pictures out of the camera and into the blog - ( isn't that the greatest challenge ;), and pack my bag for a short trip to Bodø (hoping sooo to find time to visit TreL!)

Nuances in white

Starting on this card in white on white, I realized that white isn't just one colour, there are numerous nuances of white. And I realized that Letraset Cartridge papers aren't white-white, like Daler-Rowneys are, they're more yellowish-white. And, as I sat there with lots of white papers around I saw - all these white colours are pretty together, I can use the different shades of white in a card!
So that's what I did - and cutted, embossed, sewed and stamped :)
I hope Passion for ProMarkers will accept it for their "white-on-white" challenge...
Inside the card I used a textstamp from Storyteller, stamped onto panels made with Martha Stewart Punch around the Page, the right side is for writing more personal greetings :)
A close-up of the stampimage, from Sarah Kay. The choirboy closest is stamped and coloured twice, then cut out and attached to the first image with 3D-foampads.
The text is from Ladybug and Friends.

I'll enter this christmascard into these challenges:
Passion for ProMarkers - White on White (though it's different shades of white...)
I Love ProMarkers - Anything Goes (Of course I've used my ProMarkers)
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Emboss It (the panel behind the stampimage is embossed)
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Lots of Layers ( I have up to 7 layers in places on this card)
Let's Ink It Up - Stitching (I've sewn around the panels and paperdoilyheart on the frontside)

My first two Christmascards in April

I'm still in the mood for christmascards. Even though it's just a few days till easter I found inspiration to make my three aprilcards for christmas.
I am a little bit worried that it will be harder to find that inspiration the next 4 -5 months, when spring and summer is upon us - well, time will show - I'm still determined to join Hjertebodens Juleblogg challenge to make three christmascards per month the year throughout :)

I decided that my April christmascards should be most red coloured.
I chose to use images from three different producers, Ladybug and Friends, Magnolia and Motivet ( I'll show that card later). This, I think make the cards both similar and different :)

On the first card I used stampimages on both the out- and inside. Both images are from Ladybug and Friends. This was the first christmascard I made in April. It took me quite some time to finish, and it is pretty heavy as the inside has the same setup as the outside.
On the right inside the image can be opened (and fastened with a magnet), and you'll find place to write a rather long (more personal) greeting (see picture below). The left inside has a stamped greeting.

My second christmascard, coming here, is for a few other challenges, as well:

I think these two stampimages (both from Magnolia) are so cute together, Tilda serving christmascookies - and Edwin that already has started the tasting :)
The chimneytop and the ribbonswirl are also Magnoliaimages. The candycanes are cut out of an old scrappiece of paper, then glazed with Glossyaccents and tied a ribbon (as a bow) around.
I did the same with the candycanes inside the card - I think it fitted perfect with the backgroundpaper.
To put the card together I used this weeks sketch from Just Magnolia.
I'll put this Magnoliaimaged-card into the challenges at:

Just Magnolia week 101 - Sketch
Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club #61 - Create a christmas scene
Magnolia-licious Highlites - April sketch challenge
Bah! Humbug! - Candy Canes
