Christmascards in February

Here's my second christmascard in February, for Hjertebodens Juleblogg.
The image is a picture I found on the internet.
Behind the picture i placed a big snowflake - only a little bit of it is showing.
I've used most cold colours in this card, most grey and silver.
All flowers are sprayed with silverpaint.
All edges are also "silvered".
I made the silverspray myself, and put it into an empty candyspraybottle I've kept after one of the kids - and was very satisfied with myself, thought I was really smart...
...until Sander came into my scraproom and found the spraybottle, with very quick fingers - luckily I were in the room and managed to stop him after only one spray in the mouth...

The last February christmascard is a JoyFold Card, in a sort of vintage style.
The image is from Stampavie Sarah Kay, coloured with aquarellepencils.
The text "The night before christmas" is from Panduro.
Inside the card I've used a text from Storyteller saying "God jul & Godt nyttår"
I've also used a Martha Stewart edge puncher and Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles Large.

Silly me, didn't write down what papers I used while working on the cards, so now I really can't remember where they came from... :(

Napkinfolded Christmascard

This is my first Februarychristmascard for Hjertebodens Juleblogg.
I put Skiing Edwin in a winterscene - most of it comes from the paper used, all I did was to put on some more snowflakes (some of them with glitter on).
I made the three christmascards in different foldingtechniques. Here I've tried Napkinfolding. Marianne has made a brilliant tutorial for StampARTic - it wasn't difficult at all!
But it sure took some time to measure and cut all those triangles for the folds...
The card has a ribbon to tie it together.

Materials & info:
Size: 6x6"
Ink: Adirondack Earthtones Espresso, Versafine Onyx Black
Stamps: Magnolia Edwin and Banner, "God Jul" text Global Hobby, "Håndlaget av" doesn' have any mark that says where it is from..
Paper: Bazzill cardstock, christmasDP's of different brands
Other: MS snowflake, edge- and cornerpunches, Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circles Large, Tonic snowflakepunch, Glitter Powder (Panduro), Organza ribbon
Techniques: Napkinfloding

Happy birthday, Teacher

I didn't plan to enter any challenges with this card, or put it into the blog yet, but as I finished it I was so satisfied with it, that I had to do both :D
The Challenge at I Love ProMarkers is "Anything goes", so this one should fit into there...

The stampimages used are from the "Hannah TEACH!"-set, I've masked together a picture, then coloured all of it with my ProMarkers - the walls and the floor wasn't easy...
I used two "schoollooking" papers that I had for ages (probably from the time my son started school), apart from those I've used most cardstock.
The panels are sewn together before I fastened them to the card.
The coffeecup "on the floor" is a brad - of course a teacher needs a cup of coffee
(-it's probably cold by the time she starts to drink it...)
I tried to make the greetingpanel into a blackboard, and stamped the greeting with white ink.

On the back of the card I cut out an apple from red cardstock, and stamped it with my "Håndlaget av" (Handmade by) stamp.

A closer look at the teacher in the classroom - isn't this the right dirtylooking colour most classroomwalls have, sad to say...
Here you can see two of the paperclips I decorated with schoolcharms :)

Both of my kids immidiately understood who the card was for when they saw the picture, and I think I can see similarities too - apart from the glasses...

Sander had the explanation to the glasses; It's of course XXXX when she gets older - as old as you mum
(LOL)

I'm sorting my stuff

I'm trying to sort some of my stuff and stash :)
I decided to make a book for my laces, I made the covers and found the rings. Then I started to roll up all my loose laces I found that one book isn't enough - I'll have to make another one - another day...
What was ment to be a cute little book turned out gigantic -LOL - I had to tie it together with string instead of using the cute little rings I found - But I will make more covers...

This is a little archivebox for my Magnoliaimages. It's made out of envelopes, cardstock, designerpapers (scraps), a bit of this and that and of course a Magnoliaimage on front :)
here it's shown from the side, I've used some envelopes, but I find this folder very handy, and it makes it easy to find the image I want.

I made this one some while ago, but it wasn't not big enough any longer, so now I keep christmasMagnoliaimages in it :)

LOOK WHAT I'VE GOT !

A while ago I joined a candy at Favoritspot, and last week I got a message from Linda that I've won a price :)
And look what was in it!
My boyfriend came in with the post last Saturday, and gave me a big box.
Oh joy and happiness, I nearly fainted when I opened it and found all this stuff (heres papers and gromlets and flowers and stamps and ribbons - you name it) inside it!
As I sat sighing and whining over all goodies, he came in asking if I were OK - LOL
I'm out of words!

Thanks a lot to Linda at Favoritspot !

Vintage Bookcard

Here is my book for Vintage Udfordring # 16 :)
They have a wonderful tutorial for the book, so I made it without too much difficulties - and I had fun making it! Well - putting the pages together wasn't that fun, but when I'd done it I was really satisfied with myself (LOL).
When the pages were finished, all the fun began; I used a lot of DistressInk (Walnut Stain and Old Paper), Glimmermist (Coffeeshop) in an amount that equals showers, and a little bit of glitter for the roses....
I also enter the latest challenge at Kort o Mania, where they want us to make a card that isn't 6x6 inches - which this one isn't...
It doesn't show well on the picture, but I've made three humps on the back of the book, to make it look more like an old leather book.
This book will be filled with "Baileystrøfler" from Lofotensjokolade - the best chocolate ever made! You should all try it :D
It's a perfect gift; for mothersday, birthdays, weddings, christmas, get-well-visits - any occasion :)

Materials
Size: 5 x 4 1/4
Ink: DistressInk Walnut Stain, Old Paper, Vintage Photo
Papers: KraftPaper from Bazzill, Designpapers from Panduro
Other: Flowers Prima, GlitterPowder Panduro, Glimmermist Coffeeshop, Lace Kort&Godt
Techniques: Harmonica-folding, Distressing
Misc.: Ribbons, cornerstickers and pearlstring from my drawer :)

Birthdaycard for a boy again

I've made yet another birthdaycard for a boy.
I really, really like my new MoManning Digistamp!
I've also used my Spellbinders Circles (LG), haven't used that one in ages (forgotten it completely for the other ones that are "much more shaped and fun to use"...
The card is made after the sketch at Sketch N Stash # 54, so I'll enter that challenge, and hope they'll like it :)
I'll also enter the challenge at Stamp Something, where the challenge is to USE A DIGI
On the left inside I've made a pocket, where there's place for money. Around the panels at both sides I've done faux stitches.
The back of the card has panels in the same colours as the rest of the card, stamped "Håndlaget av" ("Handmade by").

Materials:
Size: 6X6
Ink: Adirondack Earthtones Espresso, Versafine Onyx Black
Stamps: MoManning Digi, Textstamp
Papers: Cardstocks from Bazzill (Canvas and Bling) and Panduro
Other: Brads, Spellbinders circles (LG)
Techniques: ProMarkercolouring, Faux stitching

White and Pink Lantern

This year I've decided to try to make more "things", not only cards (and scrappages).
This is one of those projects :)
I've made a lantern in white and pink.
It's meant to use with one of those batteryoperated tea-lights inside.
The reason why I made white and pink was mainly because I have big difficulties painting this Tildaimage in other colours than pink :), and those colours are the requested colours in the challenges at both
Scrappekammeret
and
Scrap'a'Long Utfordringsblogg

* * *

Scrappekammeret
og
Scrap'a'Long Utfordringsblogg

Size: 11X7 cm (without the handle)

Materials:
White Bazzill Cardstock
DP: Poppy Design (Vibeke Spigseth) from Panduro
Stamp: Magnolia
Aquarellepencils
Ribbons
Bling
Flowers
MS edgepuncher

Hot Chocolate

I've made two chocolatebags for snowy days - I still hope we'll have some of those, there are still a few weeks of winter :)
In the bags there are a candycane, marshmallows and a bag to make hot chocolate (just add hot water or milk) - a perfect little treat for ice cold children who's been out in the snow for a long day...
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #119 is "Hot Chocolate", so this bag (in chocolatebrown and silver colours) is for them, as well as for Sander :)

As I have two kids I have to make two bags - one for each of them, with the exact same content...
On this one I've used a bit of pink DP, so it'll have to be for Hedda :)

Material list:
Scrap papers and cardstock
MS edge punch
cellofanebags
Stampset: Vinterglede from Papirdesign
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Archival Brilliance Moonlight White
Ribbons from Panduro

Another birthdaycard for a boy

Here's another birthdaycard for a boy, this time a younger boy.
The image is a Digistamp from MoManning, and since the boy here looks so happy, I tried to use "happy colours" to decorate the card as well :)
I used the sketch from the challenge #140 at Sketch Saturday when I made the card, so I'll enter that challenge.
The image is coloured with ProMarkers, so I'll enter the "Anything Goes!" challenge at
I love ProMarkers also.
Now I've finally found use for those pompoms I bought a long, long time ago...

Material list:
Size: 6X6
Cardstock: Bazzill
DP: really old papers
Imagestamp: MoManning (Digistamp)
Textstamp: Kort&Godt
ProMarkers
Ribbons
Pompoms

Birthdaycard for a boy

I suddenly realized I had no birthday cards for boys, so the last days I have made a few boycards - might come handy one day...
This is one of them.
The imagestamp is from MoManning, isn't he just perfect for boys from 10 to 14 years old ;)
Inspired by the Playstation "controls" ( I don't even know what it's called in norwegian, that thing you hold in your hands when you play the game... ) I chose to use black brads and a black panel for the greeting stamp...

With this card I'll enter the challenges at:
Sweet stampin Challenge - Sketch
Sketchy Colors - Blue, brown and white!

I've kept the inside very simple - ready to stamp and write a greeting on when the occasion comes.
This is also a image I practised ProMarkercolouring last weekend - the colouring becomes more and more fun as I keep learning :)

Material list:
Size: 6X6
Cardstock: Bazzill
DP: My Minds Eye, CKOK, scraps
Stamp: MoManning
Textstamp: Freebie, Molly Blooms from Simply Cards & Papercraft
Inkpads: Adirondack Earthtones Espresso, Archival Brilliance Moonlight White,
DistressInk Walnut Stain
ProMarkers
Brads
MS Edge Punch
Sewingmachine
