White and Grey New Years Card

I have to admit I didn't manage to make all christmascards I should have made before christmas (I sold too many at the christmasfair - can't be sorry about that, can I!), so when I heard that someone would be away for the christmasdays, I felt a bit happy - that would give me better time to make a New Year Card instead - I like to have plenty of time making a card...
But yet - though I was glad I got better time making it, I still feel kind of sad I didn't get a card out in time for christmas, and that is why I used this little Tilda-image, I think she looks both shy and excusable, and very, very cute :)
I've used papers and embellishments in white and greytones, and sprayed everything with Glimmermist (Snow Queen and Dazzling Diamonds). The swirls are made of corrugated paper, cut with a Die from Marianne Design, then I stole a greyglittery nailpolish from Hedda to paint it over with (will she ever, ever use a GREY nailpolish, although it glitters!!!)

I'm really sorry that the pictures are a bit too dark - I never seem to catch the few minutes of daylight that I should have used taking photos...

Happy New Year to:
TOMIC #30 - Happy New Year
Papirdokkene #18 - BINGO (Høyre vannrett, Glimmermist, Tall, Bølgepapp)
I Love ProMarkers #97 - Anything Goes
Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #166 - Anything Goes
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #135 - New Year
Paper Pretties - New Year

And a Happy New Year to all Readers and to my loved Followers, I really appreciate all your visits and comments.

Christmaswishes

On December 16. I was drawn as the winner of my wishlist at Kreativ Hobby, and yesterday I received the prize! 11 brand new christmasstamps! Am I a lucky girl, or what!!!
I couldn't wait to try all the stamps, I went into my room immidiately, put EZmount on the stamps and stamped on :D
Of course I had to make a christmascard too, trying my new stamps:
(No, I won't stop making christmascards though christmas is almost over - I already look forward to next christmas...)

I found the sketch I wanted to use over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp, Chose papers from Scrappers Choice and PoppyDesign, both in bluetones and designed by Vibeke Spigseth.
Then I coloured Angel Eyes Christina with ProMarkers, on the fur on her clothes I used Liquid Appliqué.
Little Darlings want to see Cold creations, which I think I've managed with this card :)
Crimbo Crackers' theme for their latest challenge is "Snowflakes". I made mine using punches from Tonic (with Liquid Pearls in the centers).
At Scrappy Frogs they have a Stitching Challenge, can you see that I've sewn around the panels :)

Tutorial Chocolategiftbox/ Sjokoladeeske

It is so nice that someone wants a tutorial for the Chocolategiftbox I made earlier this month, so; here it comes:

Du trenger:
Bazzill Kraft Kartong
100 g Freia Melkesjokolade ("Et lite stykke Norge")
2 stk Magneter
Dobbeltsidig tape
Limpenn

You'll need: Bazzill Craft Cardstock
Designpaper
decorations, if needed(I've cut images from a christmascard that had the same kind of image as the designpaper)
Milkchocolate
2 Magnets
Doublesided Tape
Gluepen

Kutt Kraft Kartongen til 7" X 10"
Cut the Craft Cardstock to 7" X 10"
Score Langside: 3 1/8", 3 1/2", 6 5/8", 7"
(Det står nå igjen 1/2" til sammenliming.)
Score on the longside: 3 1/8", 3 1/2", 6 5/8", 7"
(you now have 1/2" to glue the box together)
Score Kortside: 3/8", 7 7/8", 8 1/4"
Score on the short side: 3/8", 7 7/8", 8 1/4"
Cut after the black lines.
(As you can see by the picture below, I have cut the little tabs at an angle, this makes the box close better)
Kutt paneler:
2 stk: 3" X 7 3/8"
2 stk 2/8" X 7 3/8"
2 stk 3" X 2/8"
"Lokk": 3" X 2 1/4", punch så kanten.
Cut Panels:
2: 3" X 7 3/8"
2: 2/8" X 7 3/8"
2: 3" X 2/8"
"Lid": 3" X 2 1/4", punch the edge.
(You'll have to adjust the size of the panel after the punch you choose to use)
Distress all visible edges.
I've used DistressInk PumiceStone, but any other colour can, of course, be used...

I found the image to decorate the chocolatebox on a christmascard. I cut the image and distressed the edges.
The greeting I'll use on the lid is from the same card, here it is, cut and distressed.

Så kan mønsterpapirpanelene limes på boksen.
Husk å lime magneten på framsiden FØR du limer på mønsterpapiret!
Now its time to glue the designpaperpanels to the box.
Remember to glue down the magnet to the frontside BEFORE you glue down the designpaper!
When the designpaper is glued down (the magnet underneath!), you can drop the other magnet down, and it'll attach to the other magnet. Put then a little Gluedot to the magnet (just do it, leaving the magnet as it is, and you'll be sure the Glue will be on the right side of the magnet :) )
Fold (do NOT yet glue) the box together...
...kan du lukke lokket, trykke forsiktig ...
...close the lid, and push carefully...
...and the magnet is fastened to the right place
I use Extra Sticky Tape to glue the box together.
I also use a little bit on each of the tabs to be sure its properly closed.
Then its time to decorate and glue down the frontpanel of the lid.
I've used a little bit of lace under the greeting, and put on two brads before attaching it to the designpaper.
Here's the decor for the front- and backside of my box. With the georgeous paper from Papirdesign I don't want to decorate too much...
Så...
Slik ble framsiden av esken:
This is how the frontside of the box turned out:
og slik ble baksiden:
and here's the backside:
med "Et lite stykke Norge" inni :)
and inside a milkchocolate (this milkchocolate has the slogan "a little piece of Norway")

I'll be happy if you'd take the time to tell me if there's anything I should have done differently
- more pictures/ less pictures, have I explained well enough - you know......

My Favourite Five Christmascards of 2011

Debby of A Scrapjourney shows us her five favourite christmascards of 2011,
and encourages us to find our five favourites as well.
I've spent the afternoon looking through my 2011 christmascards (many!), and have managed to pick my five favourites,
in randomly order, here they come:

First, the chocolategiftboxcards my kids and I figured out for their teachers gifts on last day before the schoolholiday.
I simply love these norwegian "fjøsnisser" on Papirdesigns latest collection.
(A tutorial for this one will come in not so long)
Then the Double Cascade Card.
I found the tutorial for this one over at Mayas Hobbyblogg.
Isn't it decorative - and with its three tags, and quite a big backside, it has lots of place to write and stamp greetings.
On this, third in show, I'm very pleased with the colours. Papers are Vibeke Spigseth for Poppydesign - lovely, thick, sparkly papers.
I have to show a picture of the inside too, where I made a pocket for a giftcard.

The next two pictures show the mailbox I made, to put received christmascards in.
I was very pleased with the result, when I had finished this one, I remember :)
...same box, shown from the side:
...and last, my all white christmascard.
I love to work monochromatic, white too.
But white is a terrible colour to photograph in my part of the world at this time of year, with no daylight...

To pick five favourite christmascards, from a whole year of cardmaking, was rather difficult
- all my sympathy to those who'll have to pick TOP XX in different challengeblogs throughout the year!

Tealight-box

Hope you all have great christmasdays with your loved ones, I do :)
Long, lazy days playing games, eating, wathing christmasmovies and doing most nothing
- I love this kind of days.
Not much of an outdoorweather, really windy and wet, but that just gives more time for indooractivities :D

Today I'll show you a Tealight-box I found the tutorial for, a few days before christmas, and luckily I bookmarked the blog where I found it.
After cutting and scoring it, I had to use a little time finding out how to fold it together - and when I found the solution, oh, how simple it was!
I made a belt - and decorated it - to put around the box to keep it closed.
- and of course, I put red tealights inside - it IS christmas!
(A couple more pictures follows, to show it from different angles, and in the end a list of challenges I'll enter with it)

I'll try my luck in these challenges with my Tealight-Box:
Panduro Hobby - Jul
Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
Try it on Tuesday - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - Christmas Lights
OLLCB - Anything But a Card
Paper Play Challenges - Christmas

Monochromatic double cascade card with some sparkle

Good morning to you all. It's beginning to look a lot like christmas around, and I love it!
Today I'll show you a card that I made for our "Monochromatic with some sparkle"-challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge Blog. There's still one week left to join in on this challenge, and I hope you'll find the time to come around and play with us.
I found the Tutorial for this Double Cascade Card in Mayas Hobbyblogg - she sure has some lovely things in her blog, and all of her tutorials I've tried are very easy to follow :)
The pictures below show the card from different angles, and show the tags that hide inside the pockets of the card.
I've used white Bazzill cardstock and designpapers in different blueshades, from very, very light blue to a pretty dark, midnightblue I'd call it, shade. The designpapers are from Papirdesign and Maja Design.
Before attaching the DP-panels I brushed over the edges with some blue ink, and gave them a little spray with Glimmermist (Pearl).
The images are from Magnolia, coloured with ProMarkers, in blueshades those too.
I used different punches and a Magnoliadie for the snowflakes, and put on som beads and bling. And tied som blue organzaribbons in the tags - I think they gives such a lovely, sheer, sparkly touch...

Now, I'll send my card to the following challenges, I may be breaking some rules here. I read rules, but forget and mix together, so I hope I don't step on too many toes now....

Chocolategifts

WARNING: LOTS of pictures - and hopefully not so much text ;)

This is my last entry in Hjertebodens Julebloggs challenge of makeng 3 christmascards each month - I've managed the whole year now! And I'm NOT tired of making christmascards AT ALL! I still have many creative ideas to find time to...
I have made three giftboxes with a chocolatebar inside.
I made the boxes of Kraft cardstock, then decorated them with panels cut out of Papirdesigns "Vintertid" with norwegian santas drawn by Kjell Midthun.
I think these papers are absolutely fantastic! In an ordinary bookshop I bought some cards and tags with the same images to have even more possibilities with these papers.
(I've even seen mugs with these santas and little figures of them...)
All edges, both on the box and on the panels are distressed, but that is pretty much all I've done with it - the papers and images are so beautiful itself I feel I don't have to do much with them - almost feel a little afraid to run them through the cutter...
The "lids" on the boxes have a magnet, to close properly.
On the backside I used a cutout from the paper, with lines on, where we can write a little greeting.
I'll try my luck in the following challenges with my chocolategiftboxes:
Hjertebodens Juleblogg - The last month in the 3 christmascard a month challenge
Vintage Udfordring - Værtindegave til jul eller nytår
The ABC Challenge - F for Frosty
Craft Us Crazy - Christmas and/ or Humorous
DYSU Challenge - Winter
NSHK - Julekveld
Creative Card Crew
- Tis the Season
Crazy4 Challenges - Santa
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmaschallenge - Anything Goes for Christmas
Christmas Crafting - Santa Claus is Coming to Town

The next pictures show the boxes in front, opened and the backside, three pictures of each card, if you'd take the time to see :)

...if anyone still is with me, I can tell you that this is the gifts that we (the children and I) made to give to their teachers on the last day before the schoolholiday - but don't tell them, it's a secret ;)
