Mermaids @ My Besties

Hello, and good morning to you all.
The last days have been absolutely beautiful. Sunny and warm. Hedda and I have been on a short little trip, shopping, going to cafès, I had the car controlled (nothing wrong with it, thank heaven!)
And of course I bought some new crafting "stuff", only "necessities" though...😉

Today there's a new challenge over at
My Besties International
This time with the theme
Mermaids

You just have to visit the challengeblog, to see all the lovely Mermaidcards the rest of the DTgirls have maid! Wonderful creations, I promise!
If you join the challenge you can win lovely My Besties images too

Sherri has some wonderful mermaids in her shops, where you of course can find of her images too
Sherri’s Etsy Store
Scrapbook Stamp Society
My Besties Store
You'll find the mermaid images gathered here

I have used IMG044 for my card.
The image is coloured with ProMarkers and some Glitterstickles. On top of the image I put a ziplock bag, filled with a little blueish coloured hairgel (with some tiny stars and a little glitter in). This gives such a wonderful illusion of water, I think.
The DPs used on the card are from Graphic45, and the dies are from a Spellbinders set.
The seashells are shorefindings from many years back (washed and dried, of course), now I've only got 1 left, so it might be time for a new "seashellfindingtrip". The shells are glittered a little.
The circleshaped hole in the middle is made with Spellbinders Circles Large. Around it I used LiquidPearls to make a pearlborder. In the corners I put on halfpearls.
The seahorse"charm" is actually one of Heddas old pearls - oh, she has so much lovely pearls and stash from younger days, that Ican use almost free now 😍
Paperedges are inked with DistressInk WalnutStain.

Inside the card. DP from Graphic45 here too. The stamped greeting is from Storyteller.

On the back I used one of the cut out sheets from Graphic45 as well

Closeup of the image and the "water". What looks like orange brushstrokes are actually a kind of glitter (one of those things you buy, then never find any use of - now I've found use for it)

I hope to see your card in the
Mermaid challenge

My Besties
