Birthdaycard in pink

Today I have a birthdaycard, made with Sketchy Colors latest sketch, to show you.
Both image and opapers are from Magnolia.
I coloured the image with ProMarkers, as usual :)
I've used some white paint, lace, cheesecloth, pink rhinestones, organzaribbon and a Martha Stewart Butterflypunch.
All edges and the butterfly are distressed (DistressInk WalnutStain).
I used a white Sakura gelpen to make the white dots in Tildas cheeks and "randomly" around.

Inside the card I made a pocket for some money.
(I made the card out of a 12"X6" Bazzill cardstock, and folded in 2" from each side of the middle of the card, so the finished size is 4"X6").
On one of the inside panels I used a textstamp from Kreativ Hobby, I left the other panel blank for a personal message.

I completed the card by using the same DP on the backside, as I did on the other sides, and put on my personal stamp and the same butterfly as on the frontside.

Happy fairytale-birthday

Just a quick little post from me, before I start on the housecleaning and -tidying, clothwashing, ironing and all those boring things that needs to be done :(

Here's a birthdaycard I finished a couple of days ago, made after Papertake Weeklys sketch.
I think this Tildaimage is so adorable, and suitable for a little girls birthdaycard. I coloured it using ProMarkers. I coloured the mini-image in similar colours, and placed it on the tag (Magnolia Doohickey).
Papers are from Magnolia and MajaDesign. The edges of the papers are torned and distressed, then all panels are sewn together.
The imagepanels are made with a Spellbindersdie (Labels Fifiteen). On the edges I stamped with a swirlstamp (Inkadinkado), and placed some pink rhinestones on the swirls. Then I put some cheesecloth, pink tuille and a white sheer fabric with goldglitterdots behind the panels before I attached it to the rest of the card.
(There's some quite interesting stuff for cardmaking in my fabricbox - just haven't thought of it before...)
That should be about it - now I'll just put the card into the following challenges before I start cleaning my house...

March Christmascards and -projects

Tonday I have a lot of pictures to show. I hope you'll take the time in here to see them all.

Here's this months christmas projects - 5 of them, I'm still working on another one :)

Hjertebodens Julebloggs challenge in March is to use UTEE. We can also use Glossy-accents or crackle-accents to make a glass-like surface on the image.
So - that's what I've experimented with this month - and 4 of these projects are products of that :)
Sorting pictures for the blogpost I realized that all projects were made with Magnoliaimages - yes, they are a favourite, but I DO use other images as well...

Now, to the cards: First a sidestep-card, mainly in redcolours. Here I've used Glossy-Accents on the image only. Different papers from my christmaspaperscrapbox, with distressed edges.

Inside the card I used Spellbinderdies (Labels Ten) for the panels, fastened to make room for a tag underneath.

My second card is in bluetones, with a black-and-white image on. Here I used many layers of Glossy Accents on the whole of the frontcard. Then I put it into the freezer before I gently broke the "glass".
This card is made using 4 different sizes of Spellbinders Labels Ten, making three "cards", tied together with a ribbon.

My third card is made in the same way as the second, three "cards" made with Spellbinders dies (Labels Fifteen). Here two images are cut out and put together, before I put on UTEE.
I figured I had to use UTEE on both sides of the image since Tildas feets are hanging out of the card - rather tricky to get both sides looking good...

My last project using UTEE is a tag, Here I covered a sentiment (Magnolia) with UTEE.

My fifth christmasproject in March doesn't have any UTEE or Glossy Accents on, but I'll put it in this post anyway.

It's a plane 6X6 card in brown and red, with a ProMarker-coloured Tilda on. I'm rather pleased with how colouring her clothes turned out :)

...need to show it closer ;)

Happy Springtime Birthday

I think TOMICs latest challenge was so fun. "Spring Colour Combo Inspired by Magnolia Ink Magazine plus magazine shape" - I really had a good time making this one!
And with all springchallenges around it was plenty of inspiration to find.
I used green and "whitish" cardstock and designpapers, one with a lovely laceprint, one of the others has a wonderful embossed butterflytexture (used for the belt).
All paperedges are distressed (DistressInk WalnutStain).
Tilda with her little budgerigar in a cage is coloured with ProMarkers.
I also used ProMarkers to make a background to Tilda.
(We had a little quarrel about the bird, me and Hedda. She meant it was a parrot, but this bird is a yellow budgie!)
The swirls are made with Spellbinders dies, and the tag with a Magnolia DooHickey. I punched butterflies with Martha Stewart punches and brushed over them with Glimmerglaze. Of cours I had to put on some halfpearls, and if you look very close you can see that I had to put on some teeny-tiny pearls on the background to Tilda, using Liquid Pearls :)

On the tag I used a text from a Greeting Farm set ("Sweet Message):

Another Birthdaycard for a Boy

Tonight I have another Boyscard to show - trying to make a few of these, to have in the box for future use, but I never seem to get on top when it comes to maculine cards...
Finding papers and colours to colour the image for this card I felt quite brave - orange and blue; cool, or what?!? Looking at it finished I don't think it looks so bright as I figured it might get...
I used papers from deep down in my papershelf, probably bought years ago. Image is Magnolias Edwin - I love this plastered little guy. I coloured him with ProMarkers (Wonder if the card would have looked brighter if I'd let him wear blue shorts...)
I tried to make the sentimentcard into a plaster, coloured it with chalkinks and embossed plasterpattern on it, then stamped the birthdaygreeting on it.
From a ribbon I cut three little banners, that I attached with brads.
Inside the card I used a Martha Stewart PATP to make the panels, then put white cardstock onto them, to make space to stamp a greeting and write a personal message.
All edges are Distressed, using DistressInk Pumice Stone.

On the back I used my personal stamp, and the same ribbon as on the frontside.

Ahoy, BirthdayBoy

Thursday night, and I've started my weekend off from work. Not going back 'till tuesday morning - Isn't it wonderful?!? After weeks of stress and long days I don't plan to do much more than (maybe) a little housekeeping and hope to spend as much time as possible doing "paperwork" :D
WONDERFUL days ahead :D

Here's another birthdaycard for a boy from me. This time I've tried a maritime theme.
I've used supercute Edwin and Tilda from Magnolia, coloured with ProMarkers, for the card.
The DP is Maja Design, from the lovely Life By The Sea-collection.
I used DistressInk WalnutStain on the edges of the papers.
I can't remember where the compass-stamp is from, but I embossed it with Jet Black Gellypowder and distressed the edges with the same DistressInk as on the paperedges.
Inside the bottle (Tim Holtz) I put a tiny little greeting :D
I had a little help from my son (12 years) with the ropes and knots - I can tie good looking bows, but need help making a real knot....
The greetingpanels inside the card (WalnutStain on the edges here too) are diecuts from Kort & Godt.

Edwin Chasing Butterflies

Last week, of course the day I wasn't home, my daughter needed a birthdaycard for a boy in her class, but couldn't find any boys cards in the box. Oh, was she furious!
So the last days I've worked on "masculine" cards.
It's difficult!
This is one of the three I've finished so far.
I've used stampimages from Magnolia (Edwin and the butterfly). Texts are from Kreativ Hobby and Norsk Stempelblad AS. Papers are (mostly) Piondesign. Flowers are from Prima. I've also used two Martha Stewart butterflypunches, cheesecloth, crystal glitterstickles and Liquid Pearls. All paperedges are distressed and used DistressInk WalnutStain on - I used that on the butterflies too.

Bottle Decoration

Having spent last week in Malmø, with superlong, intense, yet both fun and interesting workingdays - and unable to do any crafting, it was SO good to come come yesterday morning! After some hours with my kids, and some sleeping, i got into my "paper-room" and made this Bottletag.
I brought the PC with me, so I've been able to keep an eye on what all the talented ladies in blogland have been doing, and also marked some challenges that I wanted to play along in:

I was about to run out of time for some of the challenges, so I found I had to combine to be able to make it in time. A challenge in itself, but spending a little time thinking how to combine them, is often quicker than making 5-6 different cards - and I like that challenge-aspect as well...

This might be a post with very little text. I've tried several times writing, but everything seems to disappear...

Well - here's the latest birthdaycard I've made - in springcolours :)

The image, Tilda from Magnolia, is coloured with ProMarkers.

I've used papers from Mjajdesign, and distressed all edges. The panels are sewn together.

I used lots of flowers (from Prima, I think), blings, lace, ribbons and bows, pearlstrings and charms. I squeezed some liquid pearls around too (I simply LOVE Liquid Pearls!)
Underneath Tildas panel I made room for a tag (Magnolia DooHickey) and stamped a greeting on each side of it.

Now, before the text disappears, here's four more pictures showing the card. The first with the tag pulled out, the second shows the inside, the third the backside (where I used my personal stamp). The last is a close-up showing Tilda (and the liquid pearls...)
