Winter @ My Besties Norge

Good Morning, and Happy New Year
to all friends, followers and other crafters out there
I have started this year trying to get my workspace a little more organized, but, oh, it will be a lot of job sorting all those little things. What gives me kind of a headache now is the charms, ribbons and laces… I really need to find a system for them!
-And all my papers! I SO need one of those paper racks where I can both store and see what I have.
Well - Pinterest is a fantastic place to find great storing solutions, so I’m sure I’ll find something that will work for my room.

My first post for 2015 is to show you my DT-entry for the new challenge over at
My Besties Norge

The challenge has the theme
Winter
(But Christmas is also accepted)

For this challenge I made an advent candlestick - you know one where we light one more candle for each Sunday during the advent. It’s made of a matchbox, and has a perfect handbag size :)
The matchbox is decorated with DP from Papirdesign.

Underneathe the image I tucked a little cheesecloth, and tied a seambindingribbon into a bow below the image. Onto the bow I attached two little silverbells.
I also put on several, «randomly placed» punched snowflakes and blingstones.

I divided the inside of the matchbox into two rooms; one for the matches and one for the 4 candles:

Christmas Plus Music @ My Besties International

Good Morning all visitors, and welcome to my blog.
I’m here to show you my DT-entry for the brand new challenge over at
My Besties International
the theme for this one is
Christmas plus Music

This is my Christmas plus Music card.
The music on the card is made with stamps and dies.
DPs are from Authentique. I think this papercollection works so great with Bazzills Kraft cardstock, so I had to make the «Winter Wonderland» out of it, using several snowflake dies and Glitterstickles (Frosted Lace).
Underneath the image I put some cheesecloth and a piece of lace.
The poinsettiaflowers in the corner of the image have got a touch of DistressInk WalnutStain (as have all paperedges), before I glittered them.

Just one more week untill the Big Day, and like every year I can’t understand how to get everything finished in time. I just hope that when the day arrive things are like they always have been - they usually do…

Today is Wednesday, and that means it’s time for a new challenge over at 

I ❤️ ProMarkers

For our Anything goes Challenge I have made a new page for my recipe book.
I have used the same image as I used for last weeks challenge, it’s called Pillsbury SnoBoy, and is from our sponsor Stitchy Bears.
With the image I used several snowflakes, made with both dies and punches, to decorate with. I found the big, glittered snowflake at a fleamarket. I also used some pompom-ribbon, cheesecloth, pearlstrings, halfpearls and seambindingribbon.
On the recipe tag I used a snowflakeshaped eyelet, some twine and ribbon, some halfpearls and a punched snowflake.
The recipe is handwritten.
Of course the image is coloured with ProMarkers - and has a little glitter on the SnoBoy himself…
The page is made with a «pocket» to put the recipe tag into.

The recipe pulled a bit out of the pocket:

How to make the Snowballs with Limoncino:
You’ll need:
200 grams marzipane
1 teaspoon grated lemonpeel
2 tablespoons limoncino
3 tablespoons icing sugar

150 grams white chocolate
grated coconut
***
Knead together marzipane, lemonpeel, limoncino and icingsugar. Form into small icingballs and let cool while melting the white chocolate.
Dipe the snowballs in the white chocolate, then roll them in grated cocnut.
Delicious!

Pearls and Swirls @ I ❤️ ProMarkers

I’m sorry I’m a bit late with todays post - I stayed up too late last night, doing «christmassy things», and had completely forgot to push «plan» on this blogpost, so when I slept too long today, my post didn’t go live…
But here it is, and I hope you like it.

For my DT-entry this week I’ve made a Tag.
The tag is tied onto a bag of «Chocolate-Snowballs», homemade little, white chocolateballs, that my family think is delicious. And I think this image (from Stitchy Bear) is just perfect for thos purpose.
I’ve used old DPs from Ladybug and Friends. T decorate I used several dies, a little bit of silvercoloured lace, some pearlswirls and -strings, and some halfpearls and blingstones of course.
Paperedges are distressed and inked.
Then I used a bit of string to tie the tag onto the bag.
The image is, of course coloured with ProMarkers, the snowman and his snowballs have got some Glitterstickles on as well.

I have made a giftbag for this challenge too - well, it’s not long untill christmas and I have started preparing the gifts…
On the giftbag I’ve used the image

I have coloured the image with Promarkers, and put on a little glitter on the «furry» details of the clothing.

The giftbag is made of Bazzill Kraft Cardstock, and is decorated with DPs from MajaDesign (Isn’t «Majapapers» great with My Besties-images?!?)
Other decorations are: Die cuts, Lace, Cheesecloth, a Flower, 2 little goldballs, some spices (cinnamonsticks and cloves) and a ribbon to close the giftbag.
-And of course I’ve inked all paperedges - I don’t think it feels finished without doing that…

This challenge will last for 4 weeks,
so enter your christmas or new years project and have fun.

I have made a giftwrapping for this challenge too.
I have used it for a pair of mittens, but of course you can put anything you like in the giftbag inside.
I have used Sherri Baldys beautiful image IMG440, on the giftbag.

The giftbag is made of Bazzill cardstock, DPs are from MajaDesign.
To decorate it I used several dies (Magnolia DooHickeys, KaBoks, Wid Rose Studio, Memory Box) and laces. I inked all papers and cardstockedges with DistressInk WalnutStain. I also put on lots of siny, white halfpearls. The image is coloured with ProMarkers.

Good Morning all Crafty Friends and Followers.
Sunday, 2. sunday of advent, and it’s starting to look a little like christmas around here - but still I have lots to do; cleaning, baking, wrapping, decorating… But most of those things are just nice things to do - even the cleaning before christmas is SO much cozier to do than it is the rest of the year!

Today I have 2 blogposts coming. This first one is for the new challenge over at

For this challenge I’ve made the wrapping for a box of chocolate. The chocolates are called Mokkabønner, and are coffeeflavoured, coffeebeanshaped little chocolates - REALLY GOOD!

Hello and Good Morning to you all.
Busy days this week to, but now it’s most christmaspreparations.
Last Sunday I sold lots of my cards and other creations at a christmas fair - people seemed to really like my things 😊

Well, it’s Wednesday, and time for a new challenge at

I’ve used my image from Dr.Digi to make a card for a boy - perfect image for a boys card, don’t you agree?
DPs are from an old Making Menories pad called «Just Chillin’».
I inked paper- and cardstockedges. To decorate the catrd I used a drinkingstraw that I put two banners on, three stars (dies from Memory Box, a little «cutted and adjusted»). The greeting («Gratulerer») is made with a dies from KaBoks.
Inside the card I stamped on a greeting (textstamp from Norsk Stempelblad AS).
