Best Christmas Wishes

Hi again
I have christmas projects going on most of the year, but now as the days are shorter, the weather colder and nights are darker, I use most of my scrap room time working on christmas projects.
Oh, I love this time of the year!

- And I love making christmas cards, especially cards like this, kind of shabby chic/ vintage, full of dies and bling, ribbons and laces, twine, cheesecloth and Frantage and "splatted" with Gesso.
The DPs (that barely are showing) on this card are from MajaDesign.
Inside I used a textstamp from Papirdesign.
The image (Magnolia) is coloured with ProMarkers.

Confirmationcard wtih Magnolia Image

Hi again.
Between most christmas- and birthdayprojects I thought I'd show a confirmation card I made a while ago. This one has the shabby chic, fully loaded style that I like so much. I think Magnolia images are just perfect for this style. The image is coloured with ProMarkers. Around it I sprinkled on some Frantage. DPs used are from Papirdesign, and the cardstocks are from Bazzill.
I used several dies, a MS Punch, lace, cheesecloth, seambindingribbon, twine, charms, a button, halfpearls and pearlstrings. The flowers are dipped in frantage (then heated to fasten the stuff). All paperedges are inked With DistressInk WalnutStain.
Inside the card I stamped on a poem and made a Pocket for either a giftcard or some Money.

Sizzix Graceful Flourish Tag

Hi again.
I know I have showed you this die from Sizzix earlier, but I have to say it has become one of my favourite dies. I think it works so well with my shabby chic, vintage projects

Sizzix Thinlits Die Graceful Flourish by Pete Hughes

Here I have used it on a shabby chic tag.
The tag has an old christmas light holder glued on.
The light holder attaches the tag to the belt wrapped around the magazines.
This way the magazines don't make just a pile of clutter, but become a little decoration.

Confirmationcard with Magnolia

Hi again
I'm here to show you one of this years confirmation cards.
This one for a girl (obvious...), with one of my dear Magnolia images.
It's coloured with ProMarkers.
DPs on the card are from Magnolia and Papirdesign. All Die Cuts are cut out in white Bazzill cardstock. All paper- and cardstock edges are inked with DistressInk WalnutStain.
To decorate the card I've used most of all those lovely embellishments I love; Flowers, Cheesecloth, pearls and pearlstrings, ribbons, Laces, Twines, Buttons and Charms. And Frantage. I put on Frantage both around the image and on the flowers.

Behind the image there's place for a little tag (Magnolia DooHickey) with a little greeting on.

Inside the card there's a stamped greeting and a pocket sized for either a giftcard, some money or a card with a more personal greeting:

Konfirmasjonskort med blomster

Hei alle sammen.
I dag blogger jeg for Storyteller, med et lite konfirmasjonskort jeg har laget.
Hvis du ikke allerede har deltatt i Storytellers utfordring "Bruk Blomster", har du fortsatt noen dager igjen.
Kortet er til en jentekonfirmant, så jeg har prøvd å gjøre det så feminint som mulig.
Her er både blomster og blonder, doily og perler. Heldigvis er Storyteller en av de produsentene som har små kors-charms, som jeg synes passer så godt på konfirmasjonskort.

I have made a girly, little confirmation card. To make it as feminine and girly as possible I've used flowers, laces, a doily and pearls - lots of pearls...
Storyteller has tiny, little cross-charms that I really like to use on my confirmation cards.

Graceful Flourish

The designers for Storyteller have been so lucky to receive gorgeous dies from Sizzix.
The die i have used on this confirmation card is called Graceful Flourish.
I actually cut two similar diecuts and used it to "frame in" the image on the front.

With this card I’m back to my pale colours, the «vintage-Shabby» style I like so much.
I’ve used DPs from FabScraps, dies from Spellbinders, Magnolia and Marianne design.
Here are laces and pearlstrings, white seambindingribbontied into a bow, with small clocks tied on. Around the image I put on a little Chunky White Frantage.
-And of course the paperedges are inked with DistressInk WalnutStain.

Inside; panels made with Martha Stewart PATP-set and a stamp from Papirdesign:

Luckily this part of the paper was at the right bottom corner of the DP - perfect to put on the back of the card:

Shabby Chic @ My Besties International

Good Morning friends, followers and fellow crafters!
Oh, am I glad this weekend is over!
Arranging a flea market is really hard work!
But it was worth it! All expences paid we neared 50.000,- NKr!
Isn’t that great???

The youths and I have a little bit of tidying to do later today, but most of the work is done, and everybody seems to be happy.

The theme for this challenge is

Shabby Chic

I started making my Giftbag with a clear, Shabby Chic idea in my head…

…somehow it turned out more like, what I would call Vintage Shabby Chic…
I just took a brown paperbag, measured DPs to fit it. Then I ran several of my dies through my die cutting machine. The die cuts are inked and «dipped in» white Gesso before they’re attached to the paperbag.
On the die cut «arrangement» I also put the image.
Looking closely you’ll see a little string of twine hanging down from the tag tucked under the die cut panel…

I’ve used the image called IMG0004, from Sherri Baldy.
